Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Engineer to join our Data Warehouse project team. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and managing ETL processes for our analytics platform, ensuring robust data pipelines and actionable insights. The core technology stack includes Azure SQL Server and Power BI, leveraging a dimensional data model. Prior experience with Snowflake is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines for the data warehouse.
• Model and manage data using dimensional modeling techniques.
• Support data integration from multiple sources into Azure SQL Server.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytics requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and processing.
• Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation.
• Implement data quality checks and best practices for data governance.
• Support the development of dashboards and reports in Power BI as required.
• Work cross-functionally with business analysts, DBAs, and reporting teams.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles, with demonstrated expertise in ETL.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server for data warehousing and analytics.
Proficient in designing, developing, and troubleshooting ETL processes.
Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling (star/snowflake schema design, SCDs, fact/dimension tables).
Familiarity with data visualization tools; Power BI experience is a strong plus.
Experience using or migrating to Snowflake is highly desirable.
Proficient in SQL and data transformation scripting.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
