Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Program management roles in mature B2B SaaS environments tend to sit at the intersection of product delivery, engineering execution, and business priorities. This Senior Program Manager position stands out because it focuses on cross-organizational initiatives and the operating system behind reliable releases, not a single product area. The emphasis on scaled Agile frameworks signals work across multiple teams and dependencies, a common reality in later-stage SaaS platforms.
For SaaS professionals, this kind of remit builds durable leverage: translating strategy into executable programs, creating repeatable planning and reporting cadences, and managing risk across a portfolio rather than a project. Experience shaping Scrum at scale and coaching stakeholders is highly portable across SaaS companies that are standardising delivery practices as they grow. The role also touches the mechanics of aligning product development lifecycle decisions with commercial goals, a core skill set for senior operators.
This role tends to fit program managers who prefer hands-on orchestration, clear instrumentation, and influencing without formal authority. It will suit someone comfortable working through ambiguity, coordinating leaders across functions, and improving processes while still driving launches to completion. Candidates interested in SaaS delivery at scale and operational rigor will find the scope aligned with long-term platform execution work.

Job Description
As a Program Manager at Gong, you'll play a critical role in driving cross-functional initiatives that enable our business to scale securely and reliably. You'll partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, and Business Operations to plan and execute complex, cross-organizational programs. This is a high-impact, hands-on role that demands operational rigor, a solid business acumen, and exceptional collaboration skills.
As a program manager in Gong, you will:
- Be part of the team that drives end-to-end delivery of large-scale initiatives from initial planning to successful launch. You will ensure these programs align with our core business objectives and strategic goals.
- Design, implement, and run large-scale Scrum processes (e.g., using frameworks like LeSS or SAFe) to coordinate efforts across multiple application groups and complex, cross-functional dependencies.
- Act as an Agile Coach and mentor for development teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders, fostering self-organization, accountability, and excellence in Scrum practices.
- Lead the division's strategic shift to an Agile/Scrum methodology, establishing a culture of continuous improvement and iterative delivery.
- Proactively manage project risks and identify roadblocks. Your role is to ensure all teams and stakeholders have a shared understanding of project scope, ownership, and status.
- Develop and maintain clear program plans, timelines, and status reports to ensure transparency and accountability. You will establish and uphold a consistent framework for program delivery.
- Champion and implement process improvements that increase team efficiency, improve cross-departmental collaboration, and boost program visibility.
You should apply if you have:
- A minimum of 10 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in a dedicated program or project management role, ideally within a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.
- A solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and can effectively translate business goals into actionable plans.
- Experience working with and implementing a Scaled Agile Framework (e.g., Scrum@Scale, LeSS, or SAFe) across multiple teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. You have a proven ability to influence without authority, build consensus, and lead diverse teams to a common goal.
- A self-motivated and highly organized approach. You thrive in ambiguous environments, take ownership of problems, and drive them to resolution.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in the B2B SaaS space.
- Strong technical fluency that includes understanding system architecture, APIs, data flows, and engineering trade-offs, and to challenge assumptions when needed.
- Experience working with teams that developed AI agents, Data Scientists or Machine Learning.
