Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Engineering Manager role sits at a core SaaS concern: reliably capturing and moving customer communication data from third party systems into a product’s platform. Because the Comms Capture pipelines are always on and underpin multiple product areas, the work reflects the operational realities of mature SaaS where ingestion, data integrity, and integration breadth directly shape what the application can deliver.
From a SaaS career perspective, leading a team responsible for foundational data flow builds durable experience in platform thinking rather than feature delivery alone. It develops judgement around prioritising roadmap commitments against reliability work, coordinating closely with product counterparts, and making architectural choices that hold up under sustained customer usage. Exposure to cloud scale, online pipelines, and cross product dependencies is widely transferable across SaaS companies that rely on integrations and data driven capabilities.
The position is best suited to an engineering leader who still enjoys deep technical engagement while building a new team structure. It will fit someone comfortable operating across backend and frontend concerns, aligning multiple stakeholders, and coaching engineers through ambiguous integration and infrastructure problems. Dublin based candidates looking to anchor their leadership track in a SaaS R&D hub are likely to find the scope coherent and meaningful.
