Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Tech Lead Manager role sits at a core SaaS intersection: monetisation mechanics and product telemetry. Owning the billing and insights charter for consumption based pricing ties engineering decisions directly to how AI features are measured, charged for, and explained. In modern SaaS, especially with usage based models, metering accuracy and transparent reporting are as foundational as uptime, because they shape trust, renewals, and the ability to iterate on packaging.
From a career standpoint, the scope offers durable SaaS experience in revenue critical systems that must be auditable and resilient. The cross functional touchpoints with Product, Finance, Data, and go to market mirror how pricing strategy becomes operational reality, and how analytics informs roadmap decisions. Leading an end to end stack across pipelines, dashboards, and billing workflows also builds platform thinking that transfers across subscription and consumption businesses.
The role is best suited to an engineer manager who still wants to set technical direction while coaching others, and who enjoys high integrity domains where correctness matters. It will fit someone comfortable translating ambiguous pricing and reporting needs into architecture, and who prefers collaborating broadly rather than operating in a narrow service boundary.
