Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Product Manager role stands out in the SaaS landscape because it sits at the intersection of software product craft and platform thinking, with a remit that spans multiple disciplines. Even without deep company-stage signals, the scope suggests a product organisation building foundational capabilities where clarity, trade-offs, and measurable outcomes matter, a common pattern in SaaS teams moving from feature delivery toward system-level product decisions.
For a SaaS career, the value is in developing repeatable product muscles: translating customer and business needs into problem statements, defining success metrics, and maintaining roadmaps that survive changing inputs. The emphasis on discovery, prototyping, and de-risking work early maps closely to modern SaaS product operating models, where learning loops and cross-functional alignment often determine whether initiatives ship and perform.
This position is best suited to a PM who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and who prefers working across engineering, design, and stakeholders rather than owning a narrow slice of the roadmap. It will appeal to professionals who want hands-on involvement in interaction flows and requirements, and who enjoy building shared understanding as much as shipping features.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.

Product Manager
Standard Bots is building the world’s most accessible robotics platform to bring advanced automation into manufacturing and beyond, with intuitive hardware and software that empower human productivity.
Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working across disciplines, and helps drive clarity and progress on product decisions that matter.
What You Will Do
Drive product discovery and delivery for initiatives spanning software and hardware.
Work with internal stakeholders to translate business and customer needs into clear problem statements. Help define outcomes, success metrics. Help maintain roadmaps, articulate trade-offs, and ensure alignment across cross-functional partners.
Work hands-on with UX, interaction flows, and functional behavior — thinking through how features fit together as a system.
Create and evolve functional specifications, workflows, and requirements that reduce ambiguity for engineering while remaining flexible.
Collaborate with engineers, designers to iterate prototypes, validate assumptions, and de-risk work early.
What We’re Looking For
You have some experience in a product or product-like role (PM, operations, design, engineering, or related).
You think critically about customer problems and can break down ambiguity into structured decisions.
You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are comfortable with responsibility, autonomy, and the pace of a small team.
You value collaboration and can build trust with peers across functions.
Bonus: Experience or interest in industrial automation, robotics, hardware-software integration and understanding how physical systems impact product decisions.
Bonus: Located in or near New York or willing to work hybrid.
Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to scope work, write clear requirements, and engage in product planning processes.
Comfort working with data to support decisions (metrics, user feedback, prototypes).
Ability to synthesize inputs from multiple stakeholders and drive decisions forward.
Basic understanding of technical trade-offs; comfort learning domain complexity quickly.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $250,000, depending on experience. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options.
