Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Regional Manager, Solution Engineering role sits at the intersection of enterprise SaaS buying and highly technical product adoption. In the data platform category, solution engineering is often the function that turns abstract capability into a credible path to value, and this position leads that translation across a UK region. The remit spans demos, proofs of concept, and channel collaboration, signalling a role built around complex evaluations rather than transactional selling.
For a SaaS career, the long-term value comes from running the pre-sales craft as an operating system: shaping how teams qualify opportunities, structure technical win plans, and surface product gaps back to leadership. Managing a field SE team also develops repeatable coaching and hiring muscles that transfer across SaaS companies where revenue growth depends on consistent technical execution. The cross-functional touchpoints with product, engineering, marketing, and services reinforce an end-to-end view of how SaaS revenue is created and retained.
This role fits professionals who enjoy player coach work and can switch between executive narrative and technical depth without losing precision. It will suit someone comfortable with ambiguity in sales cycles, motivated by building team capability, and interested in partnering closely with sales leadership and channels to influence outcomes at regional scale.
