🇩🇪 Velocity Account Executive – DACH (German-Speaking, SMB/Mid-Market)
🌍 Your Mission:
As a Velocity AE for the DACH region, your primary focus will be driving new business acquisition across German-speaking SMB and Mid-Market customers and prospects. You will engage with inbound leads, identify and activate high-potential free-tier users, and convert them into successful paying customers. You’ll also build pipeline through outbound prospecting, with a particular focus on identifying and engaging venture-backed startups and high-growth companies across the DACH region.
While net new acquisition is your main objective, you will also be responsible for managing a book of existing SMB and Mid-Market customers. You’ll ensure they are realizing value from Amplitude, identify opportunities for expansion, and drive long-term retention.
This role is central to scaling Amplitude’s presence across the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) market. It requires a hunter mindset paired with strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate both short sales cycles and ongoing account growth. Monthly travel across the DACH region is expected to support both prospective and current customer relationships.
Travel is a key aspect of this role. You will be expected to travel on an ongoing, as-needed basis to meet with customers and prospects in person, strengthen relationships, accelerate deal cycles, and support expansion conversations. Regular attendance and participation at key regional industry events across the DACH ecosystem is also an important expectation.
✨ What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own full-cycle sales – from prospecting and discovery to closing and onboarding.
- Focus on net new customer acquisition within the DACH SMB and Mid-Market segments.
- Develop Amplitude’s brand and community across the German-speaking ecosystem, especially among product, growth, and data teams.
- Build relationships with prospective and current SMB and Mid-Market customers through regular in-person engagement—monthly travel across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland is required.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success to ensure a seamless experience across the customer journey.
- Leverage usage data to identify activation signals and optimize conversion from free to paid.

- Consistently exceeded pipeline targets through outbound prospecting, cold calling, and data-driven identification of high-potential SMB and Mid-Market accounts.
- Converted product-qualified leads and free-tier users into long-term paying customers, owning the full discovery and demo process with tailored, value-driven sales motions.
- Built presence in new markets (e.g., DACH), generating awareness and pipeline from the ground up in partnership with marketing and sales leadership.
- Managed multi-touch sales cycles using tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and Amplitude to drive engagement and revenue growth.
