Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Clay sits squarely in the modern SaaS landscape where go to market is tightly coupled to product narrative, community, and education. A Brand Designer focused on production is notable here because SaaS brand work increasingly spans both digital surfaces and real world moments, from lifecycle touchpoints to events, all while needing to stay consistent as channels multiply. The remit signals a company investing in repeatable brand execution rather than one off campaign design.
From a SaaS career perspective, this kind of role builds durable leverage: creating template systems that other teams can ship with, translating product concepts into clear visuals, and managing the “last mile” of quality across formats. Those are transferable skills in subscription businesses where iteration is constant and output volume is high, and where brand is often measured by clarity, cohesion, and speed to publish across marketing motions.
This role is best suited to a designer who enjoys operational ownership alongside craft, and who is comfortable partnering with product adjacent marketing functions without needing to sit inside product design. It will fit someone who prefers structured systems, sharp production standards, and cross functional collaboration that includes external vendors as part of the workflow.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.

What You’ll Do
Build scalable templates and systems. Design reusable, on-brand templates and grab-and-go assets such as thumbnails, emails, program visuals, and event materials that teams across Marketing, Education, Events, and Lifecycle can easily use.
Illustrate product concepts and flows. Create clear, compelling visuals that explain product workflows, systems, and ideas for blog posts, product pages, education, and lifecycle content.
Design digital and physical brand experiences. Create assets across digital campaigns and in-person events, including social, ads, email, signage, stage graphics, swag, and booth visuals.
Partner across teams from concept to execution. Work closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Education, Events, and external vendors to bring ideas from concept through production.
Own production and quality. Manage production workflows end-to-end by coordinating with vendors, reviewing proofs, tracking logistics, and ensuring everything ships on time and meets the bar.
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience in brand, production, or visual design, with work spanning digital, physical, and illustrative outputs.
The ability to clearly illustrate complex ideas - such as product flows, systems, or programs - in a way that feels intuitive and approachable.
A systems- and template-driven mindset, with a love for creating assets other teams can reuse confidently and at scale.
Fluency in Figma and Adobe tools, with comfort preparing assets for web, email, print, and large-format production.
An understanding of production workflows - including print specs, proofs, vendor coordination, and timelines - and ownership of the final mile.
A strong eye for detail and consistency, with deep care for craft, clarity, and finish.
An easy, effective collaboration style across Brand, Product Marketing, Education, Events, and Lifecycle, with clear communication to both internal teams and external vendors.
The ability to stay calm and focused in fast-moving environments, balancing creative exploration with executional rigor.
