Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Subject Matter Expert role sits at the intersection of domain operations and software delivery, a common pattern in vertical SaaS where product success depends on translating specialist workflows into configurable systems. The emphasis on regulatory and airline-specific procedures, alongside configuration and onsite customer engagement, signals a product environment where real-world constraints shape the roadmap and implementation approach.
For a SaaS career, the role builds durable strengths in requirements validation, change management, and lifecycle support for live customers. It also provides practical exposure to how product, DevOps, and support functions collaborate around releases, testing, documentation, and go-lives. That combination is especially transferable across enterprise SaaS contexts, where adoption hinges on process redesign, clear communication, and structured troubleshooting rather than purely technical output.
The position is best suited to professionals who enjoy being a trusted reference point and can move between end-user language and developer detail without losing precision. It fits someone comfortable owning work orders end to end, contributing to test thinking and user materials, and engaging directly with customers during critical moments such as health checks and post-implementation support.
