Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Software Engineer role sits at an intersection increasingly common in modern SaaS: platform engineering that directly shapes how product capabilities reach production reliably. While the company operates in robotics, the work described is recognisably SaaS in its dependence on cloud infrastructure, secure connectivity, observability, and automated delivery pipelines, with real operational consequences when systems fail.
For a long-term SaaS career, the value is in owning the mechanics of scale rather than a single application surface. Building CI/CD, multi cloud foundations, fleet telemetry, and developer tooling develops durable platform instincts that translate across B2B SaaS organisations, especially those moving from early deployments to repeatable operations. The emphasis on security, cost efficiency, and incident response also mirrors the responsibilities that define senior infrastructure leadership in subscription businesses.
This is best suited to an experienced engineer who prefers leverage over feature throughput, and who enjoys making other engineers more effective through tooling and standards. It will appeal to someone comfortable with ambiguous platform problems, cross functional collaboration, and accountability for reliability. Interest in automation helps, but the core fit is a SaaS minded infrastructure builder.
