Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Director and Global Head of Benefits role stands out in the SaaS ecosystem because it treats benefits as an operating system for a global, cloud-based workforce rather than an administrative function. The remit spans multiple regions and plan types, with explicit ownership of governance and vendor strategy, reflecting the complexity that comes with SaaS companies serving large user bases across geographies.
For SaaS career development, the role builds durable capability at the intersection of people operations, risk, and scale. Leading benefits across AMER, EMEA, APJ, and India creates repeatable expertise in designing programs that can be standardized while still meeting local statutory requirements. The emphasis on analytics, Workday-enabled administration, and workflow automation aligns with how mature SaaS organizations reduce operational drag and improve employee-facing systems.
This position is best suited to a senior operator who prefers end-to-end accountability and is comfortable making decisions with legal, finance, payroll, and HRIS stakeholders in the room. It will fit someone who enjoys translating policy into measurable outcomes, and who views M&A involvement as a practical extension of global program ownership rather than a one-off project.

Job Description
About This Team:
Leading a specialized global team of benefits professionals, you will ensure our global offerings are competitive, fiscally sustainable, and delivered with the precision that defines our employer brand.
The role aligns benefit philosophy and company business strategy with complete ownership of the company’s global benefits, retirement, disability and perks. And given our corporate strategy, the Global Head of Benefits will be involved in M&A activities on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a unified global benefits framework that aligns with the overall HR talent strategy, company culture, and employee value proposition.
Ensure all programs, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, comply with local laws and regulations across all operating regions.
Serve as the fiduciary lead for the U.S. 401k plan; oversee statutory retirement and pension schemes in EMEA, India, and APJ.
Manage relationships with global and regional insurance brokers/vendors, negotiating renewals and managing the benefits budget to ensure cost-effectiveness while ensuring higher performance.
Own global LOA policy design and administration, covering statutory leaves, parental leave, and disability across various countries.
Lead a team of benefits professionals, collaborating with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and regional people partners to optimize operations.
Improve employee engagement by communicating benefits value clearly and using technology to improve administration efficiency.
Drive the transition (or optimization) of medical plans toward self-funded models where appropriate to increase transparency and lower costs.
Audit benefits workflows to eliminate redundancies and manual work, moving toward a "frictionless" employee experience.
Partner with HRIS (Workday) to move toward "zero-touch" benefits administration, reducing manual errors in global regions.
Lead M&A for Benefits, including due diligence, integration and rationalization strategy, and implementation.
Act as the escalation point for complex benefit issues in India, APJ, EMEA, and AMER, ensuring a consistent standard of service regardless of geography.
Utilize benefits analytics to track utilization trends and costs, providing the executive team with clear reports on ROI and program performance.
Champion the use of AI-driven tools to personalize employee benefit communications and automate routine compliance audits.
Requirements
15+ years in global Benefits, with having held roles of increasing complexity in terms of driving benefits strategy, management, vendor effectiveness, and constant focus on cost optimization.
Comprehensive experience managing operations across AMER, EMEA, APJ, and India. Rather than having "oversight," you bring localized experience navigating the regulatory and cultural nuances of international markets outside of the US.
Compliance & Technical Depth: You maintain an expert-level command of ERISA, HIPAA, and Section 125, alongside their international statutory counterparts.
Previous experience leading people managers or specialists in a global, fast paced, high growth environment where change is the only constant.
Prior experience of leading Benefits for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures required.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, or Business; CEBS or similar certification is a plus.
High proficiency in Workday (or similar HCM) and global benefits administration platforms.
Results-oriented, data driven, and focus on continuous improvement.
