Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Partner development sits at the centre of how modern SaaS platforms expand adoption, especially in data and cloud ecosystems where distribution is increasingly partner led. This role is featured because it is anchored in a Data Cloud context, where product value is amplified through ISVs, data providers, and application partners. With an ANZ remit, it reflects how global SaaS companies localise ecosystem strategy to regional market realities while still operating against platform level priorities.
For a SaaS career, this kind of position builds durable pattern recognition around marketplace dynamics, co-sell motions, and the operational mechanics that connect alliances to revenue outcomes. Experience developing joint GTM plans, running QBR cadences, and translating partner activity into measurable KPIs is highly portable across SaaS businesses that rely on indirect channels. It also strengthens cross-functional fluency, since effective partner work typically requires tight alignment with sales leadership and technical stakeholders.
The role suits professionals who prefer influence through orchestration rather than direct ownership of a single function. It will appeal to those comfortable operating in matrixed environments, building executive relationships, and balancing strategic planning with day-to-day partnership hygiene. It is a strong fit for someone who wants to be close to product-led ecosystem growth without moving into a purely technical track.
