Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Commercial Counsel roles are a core part of how enterprise SaaS companies convert pipeline into revenue, because contracting is where product, security, privacy, and procurement expectations become binding commitments. This listing is especially relevant in a B2B environment selling complex SaaS agreements, where legal work sits close to deal strategy and cross functional decision making rather than operating as a back office review step.
For a SaaS focused legal career, the long term value comes from repeated exposure to the patterns that define scalable GTM execution: standardising templates, building playbooks, and setting risk positions that can be applied consistently across regions and segments. Partnering with Sales, Finance, Product, and Security also strengthens the ability to translate legal constraints into commercial options, a skill that travels well across SaaS categories and company sizes.
This role will suit a counsel who prefers high context work and enjoys being embedded with revenue teams while maintaining clear risk boundaries. It is a strong match for someone comfortable joining negotiation calls, making pragmatic trade offs, and iterating processes over time. Hybrid or remote flexibility also signals fit for professionals used to collaborating across distributed stakeholders.
