Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Software Engineer role sits at the intersection of modern SaaS data platforms and privacy-preserving collaboration, an area increasingly central to enterprise cloud adoption. Data clean rooms are becoming a standard pattern for organizations that need to combine insights across parties without sharing raw data, and Snowflake’s focus on applications, UI, and developer APIs signals a productised approach rather than a purely internal platform effort.
From a SaaS career standpoint, the work maps closely to durable themes: building multi-tenant services, designing developer-facing interfaces, and taking complex systems from design through production operation. Experience delivering scalable infrastructure alongside customer-consumable APIs tends to transfer well across platform and product engineering tracks in SaaS, particularly where reliability, security boundaries, and usability must co-exist. The emphasis on privacy guarantees also adds a domain lens that is valuable across regulated and data-intensive software categories.
The role is best suited to an engineer who enjoys ambiguous problem spaces and end-to-end ownership, including architecture decisions and cross-functional delivery with product partners. It will likely appeal to someone who wants to balance deep distributed-systems work with product surface area, and who is comfortable setting technical direction while supporting other engineers through mentorship.

Let’s build the future of secure data collaboration together!
The Data Clean Rooms Applications team builds services and applications that empower secure multi-party collaboration on sensitive data while strictly preserving its privacy. Customers can seamlessly combine and analyze data from different parties using an agentic interface, our easy-to-use UI, or programmatically via developer APIs. You will join a fast-paced, collaborative team of engineers on a journey to provide customers with an integrated set of innovative, AI-enabled capabilities to analyze data in a privacy-preserving way. You will have a real opportunity to impact and shape the future of secure data collaboration at Snowflake.
AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN DATA CLEAN ROOMS, YOU WILL:
Architect and build highly scalable infrastructure that enables secure, multi-party collaboration.
Design and implement core clean room features and services, intelligent agents, and robust developer APIs to expand platform capabilities and support custom AI/ML workflows.
Partner closely with Product Management and cross-functional teams to drive complex projects from ideation and system design through to production deployment.
Mentor peers and foster a warm, supportive culture of innovation, cross-team collaboration, and technical excellence.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE MOST OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production.
Expert-level development skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
Deep understanding of database systems, cloud data platforms, or distributed storage architectures.
Experience with data privacy, privacy-preserving analytics, and deploying AI/ML solutions (experience building or integrating AI agents is a plus).
Strong computer science fundamentals.
BS/MS in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
