Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Cloud DevOps Engineer role sits at a core SaaS operational junction: the internal identity and collaboration stack that keeps a cloud-first company functioning securely at scale. Working across Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and PagerDuty reflects a modern SaaS operating model where productivity tooling, access control, and incident response are tightly coupled and must be engineered, not just administered.
For a SaaS career, the value is in building repeatable systems for automation and governance. Experience with SSO standards, lifecycle provisioning, and API-driven integrations translates across most subscription software businesses, where onboarding, access changes, and compliance evidence need to be reliable and auditable. The emphasis on scripting, serverless workflows, and DevOps practices also develops a practical toolkit for reducing operational toil through engineering patterns that can be applied to other platform and reliability domains.
This role tends to suit engineers who prefer ownership of foundational platforms and enjoy cross-functional work with Security, Compliance, and IT stakeholders. It is a strong match for someone who likes translating policy into automation, is comfortable troubleshooting distributed SaaS integrations, and wants to be close to both risk management and day-to-day enablement in a cloud environment.

Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
At Snowflake, our collaboration and identity platforms power a global, cloud-first workforce. We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who can scale, secure, and intelligently automate our enterprise collaboration ecosystem across Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and PagerDuty.
If you thrive on automation, identity architecture, SaaS integrations, and building systems that eliminate manual work — this role is for you.
AS A CLOUD DEVOPS ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
Own and optimise enterprise collaboration platforms (Okta, IGA/IAM, Google Workspace, Slack, PagerDuty).
Design and automate identity lifecycle processes (SCIM & non-SCIM provisioning).
Architect secure SSO integrations (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA policies, RBAC, and access governance.
Build scalable automation frameworks using Python/PowerShell/Bash and REST APIs.
Develop lightweight services or serverless workflows (e.g., AWS Lambda) to enable event-driven integrations.
Integrate with SaaS platforms like ServiceNow.
Lead security remediation and compliance hardening initiatives.
Apply DevOps best practices (CI/CD, Git, monitoring, configuration management).
Drive AI-first automation strategies to eliminate repetitive operational tasks.
Partner cross-functionally with Security, Compliance, Engineering, and IT.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE MOST OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
5–7 years managing enterprise collaboration and IAM platforms.
Deep expertise in Okta (SSO, MFA, lifecycle, SCIM, custom integrations, API automation).
Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, and PagerDuty
Strong knowledge of IAM principles and authentication flows.
Strong scripting and API integration skills.
Experience designing scalable SaaS onboarding frameworks.
Cloud experience (GCP required; AWS/Azure a plus).
Ownership mindset with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
GOOD TO HAVE
ServiceNow automation experience
Infrastructure-as-Code exposure
Snowflake platform familiarity
Relevant certifications (Okta, Google Workspace, IAM, Cloud)
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
