Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Senior Site Reliability Engineering remains one of the clearest leverage points in modern SaaS, where uptime, release confidence, and secure access patterns directly shape customer experience. This role sits within a Cloud Platform function focused on a secure, scalable enterprise cloud on Azure, signalling a product that has moved beyond early infrastructure choices into standardising reliability and platform capabilities across teams.
For a SaaS career, the work maps closely to the operational maturity journey many companies go through as usage grows and architectures become more distributed. Ownership across IaC with Terraform, Kubernetes operations, CI/CD design, and observability with Prometheus and Grafana builds a portfolio that transfers across B2B SaaS environments, particularly where platform teams enable multiple product squads. The inclusion of on call also reflects real production responsibility, which is often a differentiator for senior infrastructure paths.
This position fits an engineer who prefers systems thinking over feature delivery and enjoys reducing risk through automation and clear operational guardrails. It will suit someone comfortable collaborating across engineering and business contexts, and who wants to influence reliability practices through design, mentoring, and pragmatic tooling choices.
