Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Pricing and monetization are core levers in SaaS, and this Head of Pricing Operations sits directly at the point where pricing strategy becomes product and revenue reality. The remit spans packaging, billing, quoting, and revenue systems, reflecting how modern SaaS businesses increasingly treat monetization as an integrated operating discipline rather than a one-off commercial decision.
For a SaaS career, this kind of role builds durable expertise in scaling the mechanics behind recurring revenue. It develops fluency in translating commercial intent into system requirements, aligning stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM, and creating governance that keeps launches accurate as SKU and plan complexity increases. That experience tends to transfer across SaaS categories because the underlying challenges of entitlements, billing configuration, and change management are widely shared.
This position is best suited to operators who enjoy ambiguous, cross-functional work and can impose structure without overbuilding process. It favors leaders who are comfortable being the connective tissue between technical teams and business owners, and who take precision seriously when changes affect customer clarity and revenue recognition. It will resonate with professionals who want ownership over execution, not only strategy.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
About the Team
The Pricing & Monetization team is responsible for how our products create and capture value. We partner closely with Product, GTM, Finance, and Systems teams to design pricing models, packaging, and commercial strategies that support adoption, growth, and long-term scaling of the business.
To thrive in this team, you need to be a proactive problem-solver who excels at bringing structure to ambiguous challenges. Our work demands strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and precision in execution. Team members succeed when they are analytical, detail-oriented, skilled at balancing multiple priorities, and passionate about driving high-stakes projects forward to deliver meaningful results.
About the Role
We are looking for a Pricing Operations Lead to help translate pricing and packaging decisions into clear, scalable execution. You will work closely with pricing leaders and cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Billing, Finance, and GTM to ensure pricing changes are implemented accurately, system requirements are well managed, and launch decisions move from strategy to reality with discipline.
You should be comfortable operating at the intersection of business judgment, systems thinking, and program management. This role will help shape the operating backbone for pricing implementation, support teams developing billing and related monetization systems, and ensure the pricing team's needs are represented clearly in cross-functional planning and execution.
In this role, you will:
Lead the operational execution of pricing and packaging decisions from approval through implementation and launch
Translate pricing strategy, policies, and launch decisions into clear business requirements for billing, quoting, revenue, and related systems teams
Partner with Product, Engineering, Billing, Finance, and GTM teams to manage dependencies, scope tradeoffs, testing needs, and launch readiness
Own pricing-related requirement intake and prioritization on behalf of the pricing team, ensuring requests are clear, well managed, and tied to business needs
Support the design and implementation of new product, SKU, packaging, and billing configurations as pricing changes move into production
Establish lightweight but effective pricing operations processes, including governance, documentation, sign-offs, and issue tracking
Identify recurring friction in pricing execution and drive improvements that reduce ambiguity, delays, and rework
You might thrive in this role if you:
Have 6+ years of experience leading pricing operations or closely related monetization, commercialization, or revenue operations work
Have a strong track record of helping implement complex pricing or packaging decisions across cross-functional teams
Can translate pricing intent into practical system requirements, launch plans, operating workflows, and stakeholder decisions
Have experience partnering closely with billing systems, product, engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams
Are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, and timelines at once
Communicate clearly with both business and technical audiences, and can drive accountability without creating unnecessary process
Care deeply about operational precision, customer clarity, and building systems that scale as pricing complexity grows
Are a self-starter who can roll up your sleeves and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment
Compensation Range: $347K - $385K USD
