Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Staff UX Researcher role stands out in the SaaS landscape because it sits at the intersection of enterprise software and applied AI, where usability and trust directly affect adoption. The remit is oriented around building a research function that can support product development across multiple teams, which is a common inflection point for SaaS companies expanding product surface area and customer segments.
From a SaaS career perspective, the work builds durable leverage: establishing research infrastructure, creating repeatable methods, and shaping how evidence enters roadmap and delivery cycles. The emphasis on pairing qualitative insight with measurable hypotheses and post launch analytics reflects how modern SaaS teams connect discovery to product outcomes. Experience translating dense, technical product concepts into clear user signal is also highly portable across enterprise SaaS categories.
The role is best suited to a senior researcher who prefers operating with broad ownership and ambiguity, including setting standards rather than inheriting them. It will fit someone comfortable partnering closely with design, product, engineering, and customer facing teams, and who can balance hands on studies with a consultative model that enables others to do research well.

Join us on our mission and shape the future!
About the Role
We're looking for a Staff UX Researcher to join the North team and build the research practice that helps us ship more intuitive, usable product experiences. In this role, you will establish the infrastructure, methods, and engagement model that gives teams the right signal at the right stage of product development. You'll work closely with designers, PMs, and cross-functional partners to embed evidence-driven thinking into how we scope, build, and evaluate the work we ship.
As the first dedicated researcher on North, you'll own the research practice end-to-end and play a key role in shaping how the team understands and responds to user needs. You'll work on a product that is defining how enterprises put AI to work, and your contributions will directly influence whether users can adopt and get value from it.
What You'll Do
Design and operationalize the systems, frameworks, and infrastructure that keep research organized, accessible, and actionable across the org, and that empower teams to drive research initiatives independently with confidence.
Lead complex research initiatives end-to-end: scoping the approach, recruiting participants, facilitating sessions, and synthesizing findings into clear recommendations that teams can act on.
Support lighter-weight research projects through a consultation model, advising designers and PMs on their approach and reviewing outputs to ensure quality and rigour.
Empower our FDE team with UXR tools and tactics for capturing structured feedback from customer engagements and distilling it into product-relevant insights for roadmap planning.
Support PMs in defining measurable hypotheses at project kickoff and making sense of analytics post-delivery.
You're Likely a Good Fit If You Have
UX Research Experience: You have 7+ years of experience conducting research across a range of qualitative and quantitative methods, with a track record of translating findings into product decisions that moved outcomes. You know how to match the method to the moment and can demonstrate the impact of your work.
Systems thinking: You have experience establishing research infrastructure from scratch, whether that's repositories, templates, research ops, or engagement models. You build frameworks, templates, and processes that force multiply your impact across the org, so research efforts are set up to succeed whether you are directly involved or not.
Cross-Functional Partnership: You have a collaborative approach to product development, working closely with designers, PMs, and Engineers to ensure the right insights make their way into the product lifecycle at the right moments.
Communication and Synthesis: You communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences alike. You're skilled at distilling complex signal into crisp, actionable recommendations and know how to present research in a way that builds confidence rather than ambiguity.
Enterprise Experience: You have experience working with enterprise customers and are comfortable engaging directly with end users, whether that's running in-person research sessions, customer interviews, or on-site engagements.
Technical Literacy: You are familiar with complex concepts in AI and enterprise software and can use that knowledge to design effective research in technically dense product spaces. Familiarity with AI products or agentic systems is a plus!
If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply!
We value and celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form, and we will work together to meet your needs.
