Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Infrastructure Security Engineer roles are pivotal in modern SaaS, where customer trust depends on how reliably cloud platforms are secured and audited. This listing stands out because it sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and regulated delivery, with explicit reference to Protected B environments and Canadian government security standards. In the wider SaaS ecosystem, that combination signals work that goes beyond baseline cloud hardening into operational security that can support enterprise and public sector adoption.
For a SaaS security career, the experience is broadly transferable: designing controls across AWS, GCP, and Azure, securing Kubernetes-based platforms, and using infrastructure as code to make security repeatable. The emphasis on logging, monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability testing maps directly to the day-to-day realities of running production SaaS at scale, where security has to be embedded in engineering workflows rather than treated as a periodic review.
This role fits professionals who like building clear security posture from ambiguous requirements and documenting decisions for auditability. It will appeal to engineers who prefer hands-on platform work and can communicate tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, especially those comfortable operating in clearance-aware environments.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
