Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Software Engineer, Growth role stands out because it sits at the intersection of product engineering and commercial outcomes that matter in SaaS: activation, onboarding, and adoption. The remit spans customer-facing setup flows and the internal capabilities that make growth work repeatably, including experimentation, notifications, feature flagging, and marketplace or billing integrations. That combination signals a mature SaaS environment where growth is treated as a platform problem, not just a series of UI tweaks.
For someone building a long-term SaaS engineering career, the work builds durable skills in measuring impact and iterating through controlled experiments, a core operating model across subscription businesses. Designing scalable foundations for growth also develops judgment around instrumentation, event-driven systems, and cross-team interfaces that carry over to product-led SaaS organizations. The expectation to ship across the stack, even in a backend-leaning role, mirrors how many SaaS teams balance velocity with ownership.
This role fits engineers who enjoy pairing product intuition with data, and who prefer collaborating closely with Product and Design while still going deep on systems. It is particularly well aligned for senior contributors who like mentoring, shaping engineering practices, and taking responsibility for shared platforms that multiple teams depend on.
