Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Freshworks sits in the established, scaled end of the SaaS ecosystem, selling enterprise-grade CX and EX software to a broad global customer base. A Senior Business Development Manager role in this context is notable because it operates at the intersection of market sensing and revenue creation, where positioning, competitive awareness, and stakeholder mapping matter as much as outreach volume. The remit signals a focus on turning a product portfolio into durable commercial relationships rather than one-off transactions.
For a SaaS career, the value lies in developing repeatable growth mechanics that translate across B2B software categories: building and managing pipeline discipline, shaping proposals that reflect customer outcomes, and collaborating with product and marketing to align messaging with real buyer pain. Exposure to CRM-driven execution and cross-functional coordination also supports progression into broader GTM leadership paths, including partnerships, regional expansion, or revenue operations adjacent roles.
This role suits professionals who prefer structured prospecting paired with strategic account development, and who enjoy combining data-informed market analysis with relationship-led selling. It will appeal to candidates who want to operate in a mature SaaS environment where process, stakeholder management, and clear commercial narratives are central to winning and expanding accounts.
