Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Tabs sits in a familiar SaaS pattern: a product-led platform automating core back-office workflows, in this case contract-to-cash for finance teams with an AI layer. With a 2023 founding date and a defined headcount ramp, the company reads as moving from early build into operational scale, where internal systems start to matter as much as product velocity. A first Director of PeopleOps role at this point signals that people infrastructure is becoming a strategic dependency for execution.
For SaaS operators, PeopleOps is increasingly a data and systems discipline, not only an HR function. Owning HRIS, compliance, onboarding, and manager support in a scaling environment builds fluency in the operational mechanics that recur across SaaS companies: repeatable processes, clear policy, measurable programs, and cross-functional alignment with Finance and Operations. The remit also touches career frameworks and learning programs, which are portable levers in any subscription business balancing growth with retention of talent.
This role fits a hands-on builder who prefers end-to-end ownership and is comfortable being a team of one while partnering closely with executives. It suits someone who wants to deepen expertise in SaaS scaling fundamentals and who values in-office collaboration in New York as part of the operating model.
