Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This SVP, Strategic Retail Partnerships role sits at the intersection of SaaS and the retail ecosystem, where platform companies win by embedding into how large retailers operate and monetize digital commerce. It is notable for its emphasis on partnership models that go beyond standard channel deals, including co-sell, integration, and commercialization paths with major omnichannel retailers.
From a SaaS career perspective, the position builds durable experience in ecosystem-led go-to-market, a pattern increasingly important for AI, analytics, and commerce platforms that need distribution through established networks. The remit spans executive stakeholder management, complex negotiations, and cross-functional shaping of retailer-specific solutions, all of which translate well across enterprise SaaS categories where partnerships influence product direction and revenue architecture.
This role best fits a senior operator who prefers external influence and long-cycle dealcraft over transactional selling. It will appeal to leaders who enjoy working across Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align joint motions, and who are motivated by ambiguity inherent in building new alliance structures with large, matrixed partners.
