Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Privacy and AI Counsel role stands out in SaaS because it sits at the intersection of enterprise software contracting, global privacy compliance, and emerging AI regulation. For a platform business serving many customers across jurisdictions, privacy and AI governance are not side concerns; they shape how products are built, how data is handled, and how commercial terms are structured at scale.
From a SaaS career perspective, the position offers durable exposure to the operating mechanics of modern software companies: negotiating DPAs, translating regulatory change into repeatable internal programs, and partnering with product, engineering, security, and go to market teams. That mix builds a portfolio of experience that remains relevant across SaaS categories, particularly as customer procurement and regulatory scrutiny increasingly focus on data practices and AI system risk.
This role is best suited to a counsel who prefers cross functional work and can move between detailed drafting and pragmatic policy design. It will fit someone motivated by building frameworks that can be reused across products and customer segments, and who is comfortable advising on ambiguous questions where legal, technical, and commercial considerations meet.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
