Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This role stands out in SaaS because it places a domain specialist directly inside a product function, shaping a technology-led offering where real-world operations and software outcomes are tightly linked. The focus on an AI-driven hardware enabled service suggests a SaaS adjacent model where product decisions must account for field conditions, customer workflows, and measurable impact, not only interface design. That blend is increasingly common across vertical SaaS and connected products.
For a SaaS career, the position builds rare leverage: translating expert practice into product requirements, validation plans, and market insight that product teams can execute on. The work naturally develops fluency in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and commercial teams, plus the discipline of closing feedback loops from users to roadmap. Experience in testing, training, and external stakeholder engagement also maps well to product led organisations that rely on adoption and retention.
It is best suited to professionals who prefer being the bridge between a specialised industry and a software product team, and who enjoy grounding decisions in observation, data, and practitioner feedback. It will appeal to someone comfortable representing the user’s reality internally while also engaging partners externally, and who wants to influence product direction without needing a traditional PM background.
