Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Business Development Manager role stands out in the SaaS ecosystem because it sits at the intersection of monetization infrastructure and digital distribution. Coda operates across B2B solutions like payments and webstores alongside consumer storefronts, creating a commercial environment where partnerships are shaped by real transaction flows, regional payment preferences, and platform economics rather than purely seat based software adoption.
For a SaaS career, the work offers durable exposure to enterprise selling mechanics that translate across categories: multi stakeholder deal orchestration, solution positioning across a portfolio, and collaboration with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Finance to remove friction in the sales cycle. The emphasis on understanding payment strategy and regulatory shifts also builds domain literacy that is increasingly relevant as SaaS companies expand internationally and embed payments into their products.
This role is best suited to professionals who prefer a consultative, research led approach to new logo acquisition and who enjoy navigating ambiguity across markets and verticals. It will fit someone comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, maintaining strong CRM discipline, and shaping internal alignment as much as running external conversations.
