Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
AI governance is moving from a research-adjacent concern to a core SaaS capability as more products incorporate machine learning, AI-assisted automation, and agentic workflows. This role sits inside an AI Center of Excellence, which signals a platform-level remit rather than ownership of a single feature. In a SaaS environment, that typically means shaping how AI is adopted across multiple products and internal systems while keeping regulatory alignment and risk controls coherent.
For a SaaS career, the value is in learning how responsible AI becomes operational: translating external frameworks and legal expectations into policies, repositories, assessments, and reporting signals that teams can actually use. The work also builds fluency in cross-functional decision making, partnering with engineering, product-adjacent stakeholders, and legal to unblock delivery without treating governance as a final-stage audit. That blend is increasingly transferable as SaaS buyers ask detailed questions about AI safety, transparency, and compliance.
This position tends to suit professionals who enjoy structured problem solving, clear communication, and influencing through guidance rather than direct authority. It is a strong match for someone comfortable working at the boundary of technical systems and policy, and who prefers establishing repeatable mechanisms over one-off reviews.
