Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Modern SaaS platforms increasingly win on operational excellence, and IT Operations Management sits at the center of that shift. This Staff Product Manager role is featured because it focuses on the workflows that keep always on, multi-tenant services reliable, observable, and efficient, translating complex infrastructure realities into product decisions that enterprise customers can adopt. In a market shaped by incident response, observability, and AIOps ecosystems, ITOM is a domain where product strategy is tightly coupled to technical depth.
For a long-term SaaS product career, ITOM experience builds durable strengths: framing ambiguous operational problems, balancing platform scalability with usability, and using feedback loops from real customers to steer roadmaps. The role also reinforces the craft of influencing across engineering, UX, and go-to-market functions without relying on formal authority, a common operating model in mature SaaS organizations.
This position tends to suit senior product leaders who prefer being a hands-on individual contributor while operating at staff level scope. It aligns with professionals who enjoy technical domains, can communicate across business and engineering contexts, and are comfortable revisiting priorities as new data, constraints, or customer signals emerge.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment
Partner intimately with UX and Engineering teams to deeply understand and co-author the design and technology implications of proposed solutions.
Act as the primary communication bridge across the organization, keeping internal teams (Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Leadership) and external customer stakeholders completely aligned on timelines, launches, and value delivery.
Influence stakeholders at all levels of the business, building consensus around product direction through transparent, data-driven narratives.
4. Customer Advocacy & Co-Creation
