Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Business Systems Services Manager role sits at an important intersection in SaaS: internal platforms that keep a subscription business operating predictably at scale. With Freshworks building enterprise-grade CX and EX software, the Workday environment becomes a core system of record that underpins employee lifecycle workflows, access controls, and dependable reporting across functions.
For SaaS professionals, HRIS leadership is a durable career track because it blends product-like system ownership with operational rigor. The remit spans configuration governance, release readiness, testing discipline, and cross-functional change management, all of which mirror how SaaS companies ship and validate improvements. Experience coordinating integrations, maintaining data integrity, and translating stakeholder needs into structured solutions also travels well across SaaS organizations that rely on connected toolchains and clean analytics.
This position tends to suit someone who prefers accountable ownership over ad hoc support, and who is comfortable convening HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT around shared process decisions. It also aligns with managers who enjoy balancing hands-on platform expertise with stakeholder influence, documentation, and repeatable operating practices in a system that evolves through regular vendor releases.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
