Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Full Stack Engineer role stands out in SaaS because it sits close to the product surface while still owning architectural direction, a common inflection point for platforms that are mature enough to prioritise reliability and security alongside new feature delivery. The hybrid setup in Vienna also signals a team model where engineering decisions are shaped through regular in-person collaboration rather than fully asynchronous execution.
For a SaaS career, the role offers durable experience in the mechanics that keep subscription products competitive: evolving a large production codebase, building and maintaining APIs, and making pragmatic trade-offs under real constraints. The emphasis on code reviews, cross-product initiatives, and performance and security advocacy maps to the kind of systems thinking that becomes increasingly valuable as SaaS organisations scale their surface area and operational complexity. Exposure to AI-enabled development workflows is also relevant as SaaS teams standardise new productivity patterns.
This position is best suited to an engineer who prefers being accountable for end-to-end outcomes, from technical discovery through delivery, and who enjoys influencing standards through mentorship and review. It will fit someone comfortable collaborating closely with product and design while still going deep on backend fundamentals in Python and Django.

Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Senior Product Engineer) to own the technical direction and delivery of solutions in one of our teams. You aren’t just here to write code - you are a partner in the product journey, helping us shape architecture, refine the work breakdown, and advocate for performance and security at every step.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Vienna. We value in-person collaboration, so regular office presence is a priority (3 times a week).
Some of the things you’ll do:
In the first month:
- Get to know your product development team and get familiar with our products, technologies, systems & architecture, processes and practices.
- Absorb our engineering culture, start coding and ramp-up quickly within the Adverity universe.
- Get to know the architecture and codebase inside-out.
In the first 6 months:
- Support your product development team with deep code reviews, guiding them towards better system quality and engineering practices.
- Participate in shaping new features by getting your hands dirty in PoCs, breaking down technical scopes, and commence working on team deliveries.
Beyond the first 6 months:
- At this point, you know the Adverity platform very well, both product and tech.
- Participate in strategic cross-product engineering initiatives and help product development teams towards pragmatic technical decisions based on limited context, striving to constantly improve maintainability and reliability.
- You increase your impact beyond your product development team to the whole engineering team & beyond.
We’re excited if you have:
- Product-driven mindset: a strong focus on understanding users and solving real problems with intuitive, user-friendly tools.
- Daily use of AI tools (e.g. coding copilots, LLM-based design assistants, automation agents) and the ability to integrate AI reasoning and automation into workflows across coding, documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Fluency in Python and (preferably) the Django framework, with experience managing large-scale production systems and building REST APIs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills: you’re proactive, listen carefully, and collaborate closely with product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders.
- A passion for learning, experimenting, and turning new AI tools into practical, repeatable workflows — always keeping user value at the core.
Nice to have:
- During your career you successfully mentored and coached engineers.
- Experience with data products and its challenges.
- Skill in demonstrating AI-driven productivity to peers and driving adoption within technical teams.
Why you’ll love it here:
- Flexible working hours and home-office
- Internal shares program (EDPP)
- Ergonomic workspace and cutting edge technology
- Budget for job relevant training
- Regular team events
- Modern and stylish offices
- Sustainable merch for all employees
- Adverity Social Responsibility Days (+2 days paid off)
- Public transportation ticket for Vienna
The minimum gross salary is €70,000. In any case, we offer competitive salaries depending on your qualifications and experience.
