Job Description
Job Title: Senior Technical Writer
Department & Team: Genesys Cloud Documentation
Reports to: Debbi Hodde
Location: Budapest
Summary
Design and create a variety of technical content related to Genesys Cloud software and services in a full-time position. The successful candidate will understand and be adept at the roles and responsibilities associated with a senior technical writer in the Cloud services industry. This candidate will be comfortable with describing complex enterprise services implementations, for instance, how artificial intelligence capabilities add enormous value to Genesys customers.
The senior writer will work with Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Care, Professional Services, and Product Management Departments in a cross-functional, team environment to gather information, then create and maintain high-quality technical documentation. Preferred candidates will be familiar with and interested in innovative strategies for technical content production and deployment, including video creation and artificial intelligence.
The successful candidate will be associated with the Budapest-based Genesys office.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire and organize basic source material for transformation and synthesis into customer-facing documentation that meets a high standard for accuracy and readability.
Work tightly with Development, QA, and Product Management to ensure appropriate creation and timely deliverables to coincide with software product releases.
Work cooperatively with other technical writing staff to ensure consistent styling and follow corporate style guides to ensure a consistent look and feel for publications.
Continually seek to improve existing documentation processes and content.
Seek to provide innovation for packaging and delivery of technical publications and remain up to date on technical content trends as they apply to Cloud services.
Achieve a high degree of product knowledge in the service of producing quality materials.
Minimum Requirements:
Significant experience with writing, managing, prioritizing, and delivering technical publications for a technical audience.
Ability to adapt to fluctuating timelines in a fast-paced work environment aligned with a continuous release cycle.
Experience with professional technical writing tools and wiki markup/HTML to create technical content online, and familiarity with online content delivery tools and platforms.
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Significant experience with complex technical solutions and familiarity with contact-center software, telecommunications technology and standards, network-based solutions, or other highly technical systems.
