Candidate Description
As a Senior UX Designer, you bring deep expertise in visual and interaction design, creating polished, accessible, and user-centered interfaces that drive clarity and consistency across complex digital products. In this individual contributor role, you're a trusted design partner who leads by example—elevating the craft of UI, contributing to scalable design systems, and ensuring that every interaction feels intuitive and purposeful.
You are skilled at translating product and user requirements into high-fidelity, production-ready designs, balancing visual quality with functional precision. You collaborate closely with engineers to maintain design fidelity through implementation, and with product teams to ensure visual design aligns with user needs and business goals. Your design decisions are grounded in best practices for accessibility, responsive behavior, and component-based systems, and you continuously refine your work through feedback, critique, and testing.

Key Responsibilities
· Enterprise-Scale UI Design: Lead the design of clean, scalable, and accessible interfaces for complex enterprise applications. Translate user needs and business requirements into thoughtful UX/UI solutions that accommodate multiple personas, workflows, and edge cases.
· Design System Contribution: Extend and refine Genesys' design system to support modular, enterprise-ready components. Advocate for consistency while supporting flexibility across diverse product contexts and use cases.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to ensure designs align with roadmap priorities, technical constraints, and platform consistency. Proactively identify dependencies and coordinate with other teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end experiences.
· Visual and Interaction Craft: Drive visual excellence and interaction polish in enterprise environments where clarity, hierarchy, and usability are paramount. Incorporate accessibility, responsiveness, and interaction states into every design detail.
· Prototyping & Design Specs: Develop interactive prototypes and detailed design specifications that clearly communicate UI behavior and transitions across user roles and data-heavy interfaces. Partner with engineering to ensure implementation fidelity and resolve edge cases.
· Mentorship & Craft Leadership: Mentor associate and mid-level designers, providing guidance in enterprise UI challenges such as complexity management, scalability, and adaptive design. Share best practices and foster a culture of high-quality design execution.
· Feedback & Iteration: Participate in design reviews, critiques, and research debriefs. Iterate designs based on user insights, stakeholder feedback, and evolving enterprise needs.
Qualifications
· Experience: 4+ years of proven experience designing enterprise software applications for a global audience, with a strong emphasis on visual design, interaction patterns, and scalable interface systems. Demonstrated expertise in applying design processes across desktop and mobile platforms, including the creation of high-fidelity mockups, responsive layouts, and component-based design assets that support complex user workflows.
· Design Systems & Collaboration: Proven ability to contribute to and evolve enterprise design systems, ensuring cross-platform consistency and accessibility. Skilled in collaborating with engineering and product partners to implement UI at scale, aligning visual standards with technical feasibility and product strategy.
· Craft & Proactive Mindset: Deep attention to detail and a proactive approach to visual excellence, component reusability, and UI consistency. Comfortable leading UI decisions on large projects while balancing product goals, technical constraints, and user needs.
· Professional Communication & Presentation: Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating design rationale, presenting polished visual work, and facilitating constructive conversations with stakeholders across disciplines and levels.
· Analytical & Iterative Thinking: Ability to leverage usability insights, customer feedback, and product data to refine UI decisions and inform iteration. Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Experience
· Experience in designing for enterprise-level applications, services, or platforms (specifically support or call centers).
