The Senior FinOps Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a pivotal role in driving customer success with CloudBolt’s FinOps Platform, ensuring organizations achieve full visibility, control, and cost optimization across their cloud environments. As a trusted advisor, you will guide customers through onboarding, implementation, and ongoing adoption, helping them configure cost allocation, chargeback/showback, automated optimization policies, and custom reporting to align with their financial and operational objectives.
Acting as the customer’s technical advocate, you will engage regularly with customers, providing training, best practices, and insights that drive long-term value realization. Beyond customer management, you will contribute to FinOps thought leadership and maintain expertise in multi-cloud financial management. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in FinOps practices, cloud cost management, and automation, looking to make a direct impact in shaping the future of FinOps excellence for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities:
Technical Account Management (60%)
· Customer Onboarding & Platform Adoption – Guide customers through the implementation of CloudBolt’s FinOps Platform, ensuring they effectively onboard and configure the platform to meet their financial management objectives.
· Optimizing Cost Visibility & Allocation – Assist customers in leveraging CloudBolt’s cost visibility, chargeback/showback, and cost allocation features to improve financial transparency across cloud environments.
· Automated Cost Optimization & Policy Management – Help customers implement automation rules, budget alerts, and optimization policies within the platform to reduce cloud waste and ensure cost efficiency.
· Custom Reporting & FinOps Insights – Enable customers to create tailored reports and dashboards within CloudBolt’s platform, providing actionable insights into cloud spending, budget tracking, and forecasting.
· Ongoing Training & Best Practices Enablement – Continuously educate customers on how to maximize the value of CloudBolt’s FinOps Platform, aligning its capabilities with their evolving financial and operational goals.
· You will have regular contact with customers both on-site, on calls and through a web conference
Research & Skills Development (20%)
· Maintain and share expert knowledge within the FinOps space internally and externally
Pre-Sales Support (20%)
· Collaborate with Pre-Sales Engineers on Technical Validation – Support pre-sales efforts by providing real-world customer insights, assisting in proof-of-concept deployments, and demonstrating FinOps best practices within CloudBolt’s platform.
· Coordinate with Pre-Sales for Seamless Handoff – Work closely with pre-sales engineers to align on customer goals, expectations, and technical requirements, ensuring a smooth transition from evaluation to implementation and long-term success.
Requirements
· Experience working in a FinOps or FinOps consultancy role either directly at a large enterprise, or for a consultancy providing FinOps services to large enterprises (2+ Yrs)
· FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Professional certification (Preferred)
· AWS Cloud Practitioner and\or Azure Foundational Certification (Nice to Have)
· Public Cloud costing knowledge (AWS CUR, Azure Cost Management reports, etc.) (2+ Yrs)
· Strong Public cloud knowledge in at least 2 major CSP’s (AWS, Azure, GCP) 3+ years
· Experience with FinOps tools as well as experience having manually performed FinOps related tasks.
· Is self-motivated/self-directed – capable of multitasking
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
· The ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
· The ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Location:
100% Remote position – geographic preference US Eastern time zone
Additional Valuable Working Knowledge Experience:
· Power BI or other data visualization tools (Huge plus)
· MSP Cloud Billing, Azure CSP and or AWS SPP
· Knowledge of Cloud\Infrastructure Orchestration & Automation
