Job Summary:
At Genesys, we are transforming customer experiences through data-driven insights and scalable technology. As a key member of the Cloud Analytics team, you will design and deploy advanced Big Data solutions that support real-time analytics at enterprise scale. This role demands deep technical proficiency in cloud-native architectures, distributed data processing, and infrastructure automation to enable global scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy fault-tolerant, highly available software systems for the Genesys Cloud Analytics platform
Design and implement scalable Big Data pipelines for batch and real-time processing
Partner with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver high-impact data products
Build and maintain ingestion, transformation, and aggregation layers for large-scale datasets
Automate infrastructure on AWS using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Create reusable abstractions and tooling to support self-service analytics pipelines
Optimize query performance on platforms like Druid, Presto, and Elasticsearch
Proactively resolve production issues and enhance platform resiliency through root cause analysis
Provide mentorship through code reviews and champion engineering excellence
Drive continuous improvement in reliability, performance, and scalability
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years (post education) of experience in software or data engineering roles focused on large-scale systems
Strong proficiency in Java and Python
Experience with Big Data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Flink
Hands-on experience with both batch and streaming data processing architectures
Proficient in building scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS
Understanding of distributed systems and microservices design
Solid foundation in CI/CD practices and test-driven development
Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering production-ready solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience deploying applications using CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code frameworks
Familiarity with Apache Airflow or other orchestration tools
Working knowledge of query engines and storage systems including Druid, DynamoDB, Presto, S3, and Elasticsearch
Exposure to infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Packer
