Position: Analyst, Reconciliation
Location: Manila, Philippines
Summary:
The Analyst reports to the Reconciliation Associate Manager and will be responsible for Reconciliation functions and other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Perform bank reconciliations in a regular basis, providing clear instructions to the Cash Team on adjustments needed (e.g., journal entries for unrecorded payments or bank charges).
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet accounts every month-end and quarter-end in an accurate and timely manner.
- Helps to identify and resolve discrepancies found in reconciliations.
- Ensures balance sheet reconciliations adheres to corporate policy, local statutory & US GAAP standards, and established controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve reconciliation processes.
- Assists with audit by providing supporting records and documentation.
- Other tasks to be assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent in Accounting from a reputable college or university; CPA preferred but not required
- At least two to three years relevant experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Strong accounting background, knowledge in IFRS and/or US GAAP
- Experience in working with a multinational company, BPO or Shared Services and willing to report in shifting schedules
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to details
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work with teammates and offshore contacts
- Average to above average oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook;
- Knowledge in developing macro-programs is an advantage
- Experience in Workday, Blackline, or similar ERP system
- Flexible, assertive, team player with pleasant personality
