The Role
As one of Finofo’s first strategic AE, you'll take full ownership of building pipeline and closing deals with international, operationally complex companies, particularly across verticals like manufacturing, supply chain, retail/wholesale, and international mid market companies.
You’ll lead the entire sales cycle, from outreach to contract, and partner with product and leadership to turn market feedback into strategy. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments.
What You’ll Do
- Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to acquire and retain high-value accounts.
- Building and maintaining relationships with C-level and other executive relationships.
- Own end-to-end sales-from first touch to closed-won
- Sell into CFOs, controllers, AP, and treasury teams managing global finance complexity
- Drive new business across target verticals with international exposure
- Run strategic discovery, tailor value props, and lead consultative sales cycles
- Collaborate with SDRs and Marketing to refine GTM
- Provide product feedback to improve roadmap, pricing, and messaging
- Travel for key deals, customer visits, and industry events when it moves the needle
Key Performance Metrics & KPIs
We measure performance based on revenue outcomes, sales efficiency, and long-term deal quality:
- Deals Closed per Quarter: 10+
- SQL Average Deal Size (ACV): $40k
- Sales Cycle Length: 45–90 days (mid-market), up to 120+ days (enterprise)
- Pipeline Coverage: 3–5x your quota
- Opportunity-to-Close Rate: 20–30%
- Weekly Activity: 10–20 opps sourced or influenced, 8–12 qualified demos
- Win Rate (SQL to Closed-Won): 25%+
- Self-Sourced Pipeline Contribution: 40%+
- Time-to-First Deal: <30 days from start
- Expansion / Upsell Influence: $150K+ annually
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience selling fintech, FX, payments, or treasury products
- Proven record of solution selling into mid-market and enterprise finance teams
- Experience working with international companies or operational verticals (e.g. manufacturing, logistics, wholesale, Ag & Food)
- Familiarity with API-driven products and selling to both technical and financial stakeholders
- Strong communication and solution selling skills tailored to buyer needs
- Structured, data-driven approach to building pipeline and closing deals
- Use tools like Close, Apollo, Clay, ChatGPT, or other sales automation platforms and get results from them.
