incident.io is the leading all-in-one platform for incident management. From small bugs to major outages, incident.io helps teams respond fast, reduce downtime, and improve every time something goes wrong.
Since launching in 2021, we’ve helped 800 companies—including Netflix, Airbnb and Block—resolve over 250,000 incidents. Every month, more than 30,000 responders across Engineering, Product and Support use incident.io to fix things faster.
We’re a small team that cares deeply about pragmatism, quality, magic, and pace. We've raised $100M from Index Ventures, Insight Partners and Point Nine, alongside many angel investors who are founders and executives of world-class companies.
This is a full-time, one year placement starting in June 2026 and finishing in June 2027.

The Team
Our engineers know the reality of being paged at 3am: the adrenaline of waking up, the scramble to pull in the right people, and the frustration of piecing together context from scattered tools and Slack threads. They’re on a mission to change that by building the single place companies turn to when things go wrong. What sets them apart is their unwavering commitment to customers and their drive to make it magic: crafting mission-critical software with the polish and excellence that people don’t just rely on, but truly love.
The team thrives on solving hard, high-stakes problems where reliability and speed matter most. Whether it’s strengthening the systems that keep our customers online during critical incidents, or shipping features that help entire organisations respond faster and smarter, our engineers move quickly and take pride in building software that people trust when the pressure is on.
Over the past year, we’ve also built some of the most ambitious AI-native features in our space. From ways to make incident response smoother, to AI agents that investigate, explain, and even fix issues, we’re reimagining what incident management can be.
Our primary stack includes Go, TypeScript with React, and Postgres, deployed on Google Cloud Platform using GKE and Cloud SQL. We manage infrastructure with Terraform and lean on BigQuery, PubSub, and Cloud Storage. For monitoring and logging, we use Sentry and Grafana, powering our automated testing and deployments.
What you’ll be doing:
Shipping incredibly fast by pushing code to production quickly, making mistakes along the way, and (most importantly) learning from them.
Collaborating and learning from senior engineers and cross-functional teams to get hands-on mentorship while seeing how product, design, and engineering work together to move at speed.
Taking insanely high ownership of your work by driving projects and seeing your impact on real users. You’ll own things from idea to production.
Innovating and reimagining how incident management works by building on our AI SRE that investigates, explains and even fixes issues.
What your background looks like:
You’re enrolled in a full-time Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Know any programming language such as: Go, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails or Javascript.
What you need to be successful:
Have a bias for action and ownership and like to get things shipped, learn from mistakes, and take responsibility for your work.
Stay curious and don’t just accept things as they are, enjoying asking “why?” and “what if?”
Collaborate in person and get energy from being around others, bouncing around ideas, asking questions, and giving and receiving feedback.
Love building whether it’s features, tools, or ideas, and enjoy creating things and seeing them make an impact.
Enjoy fast-paced environments and feel comfortable with change and the energy that comes with moving quickly.
Keep a low ego by staying humble and staying focused on the wider mission.
