What is Apricot?
In healthcare, some of the most powerful tools are the ones that quietly change lives. For decades, home health nurses have been buried in paperwork—spending more than half their time completing forms instead of caring for patients. That burden drives burnout, slows care, and strains already-thin margins.
At Apricot, we believe software can—and should—do better. Built by home health experts and seasoned product leaders, Apricot streamlines documentation with speed and accuracy so nurses can focus on patients—and agencies can expand capacity without compromising quality.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an AI Prompt Content / Operations Specialist to take ownership of Apricot’s growing portfolio of prompts. This is a semi-technical role - you’ll work closely with data and systems, but you don’t need an engineering background. Success requires sharp writing, strong analytical thinking, and comfort applying compliance standards while solving complex problems.
You’ll review prompt performance, investigate why prompts succeed or fail, and iterate line by line to make them better. You’ll collaborate with product managers, UX researchers, clinical specialists, and data analysts to ensure Apricot’s prompts are accurate, compliant, and consistently improving.
If you are energized by solving puzzles, analyzing performance, and refining language until it works flawlessly, this role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the quality and effectiveness of Apricot’s product.
What You’ll Do
Write and edit prompts with precision, balancing compliance requirements with usability and innovation.
Monitor dashboards and metrics to track prompt performance and identify areas for improvement.
Prioritize work based on quantitative data, customer feedback, and clinical team insights.
Backtest and diagnose underperforming prompts, then refine and re-measure.
Collaborate with clinical specialists to build domain expertise and with product/design to shape prompt workflows.
Consume data from analyst partners to guide decisions—no coding required.
Stay current with best practices in prompt design and LLM research, bringing fresh methods to the team.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
AI Enthusiast: You’re genuinely curious about AI, have played with tools like ChatGPT, and are excited about exploring their potential.
Sharp Writer & Editor: You have excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
Analytical Mindset: You know how to analyze data, spot patterns, and build evidence-based insights and hypotheses.
Problem Solver: You enjoy diagnosing challenges and iterating your way to thoughtful, effective solutions.
Compliance-Minded Innovator: You understand the guardrails of compliance but still look for creative ways to move work forward.
Collaborative Partner: You thrive working cross-functionally with product, clinical, design, and engineering teams.
Curious & Adaptable: You dive into new domains quickly, staying flexible and open as things evolve.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in a regulated or compliance-heavy field (healthcare, legal, finance, education).
Background in technical writing, medical writing, product operations, QA, or content strategy.
Knowledge of healthcare workflows or clinical documentation.
This is a hybrid-role based out of Oklahoma City, OK with 1-2 days per week required to be in office. We are only connecting with individuals already located within driving distance.
