Job Title: Analyst – Cash Application, Finance Shared Services
Location: Manila, Philippines
Position Summary:
The Cash Application Analyst is a key member of the Order to Cash team under Finance Shared Services (FSSC) responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely application of customer payments to accounts receivable in accordance with company policies and procedures.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of cash flow reporting, reducing unapplied cash, and supporting month-end close activities. The analyst will collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Record to Report teams to drive efficiency and continuous improvement in the cash application process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Timely and accurately allocate and apply payments (ACH, wire, lockbox, checks, and other payment methods) to customer accounts in Workday.
• Review and reconcile unapplied and unidentified cash items; work with collections and GL to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor daily bank activity and ensure all deposits are posted and reconciled to the general ledger within SLA
• Process adjustments, write-offs, and short payments following established approval matrices and company policy.
• Prepare and maintain reports on cash posting, cash collections and KPIs.
• Support month-end close processes by ensuring complete cash allocation, application and write offs are completed by Wd2, including the reporting of balances to stakeholder.
• Collaborate with the Collections teams to ensure timely allocation of payments and accurate customer account maintenance.
• Participate in automation initiatives and process improvement projects to enhance cash application efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all assigned processes to reflect best practices and system enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and SOX compliance for all cash application activities.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications / Skills Required and Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Cash Application within a Shared Service Center or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of cash posting, bank reconciliation, and AR accounting principles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Workday or Netsuite) and MS Excel; experience with automation tools (e.g Robotic Process Automation) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams and resolve issues effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end close.
• Exposure to process improvement initiatives or Lean methodologies preferred.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of financial data.
• Midshift primary schedule (3PM-12MN) with the flexibility to work night shifts (on an occasional, rotating basis for operational needs.
