We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Customer Success team as an Agency focused Customer Success Manager in Japan. In this role, you will be focused on agency relationship growth, education, and unlocking new client opportunities. This position is currently less focused on Named Account List (NAL) clients and instead manages campaigns for all activity that does not fall under the NAL list.
You will play a critical role in agency growth between Spotify & the Japan market, as well as addressing the current need for a scalable, relationship-first approach to non-NAL account support. This client facing role includes relationship building, strategic planning, consultative selling, project management and data led storytelling. You will be a reliable and crucial market team member who can anticipate and provide solutions to meet ongoing client needs. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music and podcasts.

What You'll Do- Build and maintain strong relationships with key agency stakeholders to expand Spotify’s presence in Japan
- Deliver ongoing education and enablement to agencies through workshops, training sessions, and 1:1 meetings
- Collaborate with Agency Partners to identify, pitch, and secure new advertisers via agency channels
- Manage campaigns for all non-NAL accounts, including media planning, setup, launch, optimization, and wrap-up
- Act as the agency’s primary point of contact, fielding requests & questions and communicating directly with internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales and campaign lifecycle
- Partner cross-functionally to create scalable resources, playbooks, and enablement materials tailored to the Japanese market
- Provide proactive recommendations to agencies to improve campaign performance
- Monitor and report on delivery for non-NAL campaigns, addressing pacing or performance concerns
- Leverage reporting and insights to proactively identify, pitch, and close expansion opportunities to help grow the business
- Partner with Agency leads team to build & deliver Agency level QBRs
- Stay ahead of industry trends and share market insights internally to influence strategy
- Serve as the product authority for agencies, educating them on Spotify’s ad products, best practices, and measurement solutions
Who You Are- You have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business
- You have a minimum of 3 years experience in digital media, planning and/or buying, preferably experience includes biddable media strategies
- You have strong industry knowledge and a desire to grow within the digital media industry
- Strong understanding of Japan’s media and agency landscape. Pre-existing relationships are a plus
- You have a strong understanding of advertising performance metrics and the advertising ecosystem
- Proven ability to educate and influence agency stakeholders
- You have a sales focused mindset & are comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled at balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on campaign management
- You have the ability to craft impactful sales rationale stories by using data and research
- You have the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management (internally and externally)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Japanese and English
- You have excellent dexterity in excel and powerpoint, and have experience working within CRMs, OMSs, ad servers and other digital media tech systems
Where You'll Be- This role is based in our Tokyo office
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come into the office 2-3 times per week
