Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Staff Product Data Analyst role sits at the intersection of product decision-making and a dedicated Data Platform function—an increasingly common operating model in mature SaaS organizations where analytics is expected to be both rigorous and reusable. The remit spans product, finance, and engineering stakeholders, signalling a setup where data is treated as shared infrastructure rather than an ad hoc reporting service.
From a SaaS career perspective, the work maps directly to the mechanics that determine durable recurring revenue: defining core metrics, assessing feature value, shaping monetization inputs, and translating analysis into decisions that change product direction. Building models that are understood outside analytics, and partnering on the underlying data sources, develops a blend of product sense and platform thinking that transfers well across subscription businesses.
The role is best suited to an analyst who prefers cross-functional influence over isolated analysis, and who is comfortable being the “last mile” between technical work and business action. It will fit someone who enjoys ambiguity in metric definition, can communicate to non-technical leaders, and is motivated by improving how an organization runs experiments and uses evidence to prioritize.
