Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Staffbase sits in a mature segment of SaaS: an AI-native employee experience and internal communications platform sold into organisations with established IT landscapes. That context makes Solutions Engineering central, because buying decisions tend to hinge on security posture, integration feasibility, and clear demonstrations of value across intranet, app, and email channels. For the Sydney market, the role reflects the continued demand for technical pre-sales talent that can translate platform capabilities into workable enterprise deployments.
From a SaaS career perspective, this position builds durable skills at the intersection of product, sales, and implementation. The day-to-day exposure to APIs, architecture recommendations, RFPs, and onboarding handoffs mirrors how many subscription businesses reduce friction from evaluation to adoption. Experience navigating SSO, directories, and major enterprise systems is broadly transferable across B2B SaaS categories where integrations and governance shape time-to-value.
This role is best suited to practitioners who enjoy customer-facing problem solving and can move between storytelling and technical detail without over-engineering. It will fit someone who wants to be accountable for technical clarity in deals, collaborate closely with Account Executives and post-sales teams, and steadily deepen platform expertise through real prospect and customer scenarios.
