Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Clay sits in the modern B2B SaaS category where brand work has to translate product complexity into clarity across many touchpoints. This role stands out because it centers on production craft and repeatable systems—an increasingly important discipline as SaaS companies scale content, lifecycle messaging, and event presence without letting visual consistency drift.
For a SaaS-focused designer, the career leverage here comes from building reusable templates and asset pipelines that other teams can operate independently. That kind of enablement work maps closely to how SaaS marketing functions in practice: multiple channels, frequent launches, and ongoing education content that needs to stay coherent as product narratives evolve. The added exposure to illustrating product flows also strengthens a designer’s ability to communicate value propositions—a transferable skill across PLG motions, enterprise sales cycles, and customer education.
This position is best suited to someone who enjoys operational design as much as concepting—comfortable owning the “last mile” details from specs and proofs to vendor coordination. It will fit a designer who prefers cross-functional partnership with marketing and education stakeholders and who takes satisfaction in building systems that make high-quality output easier to reproduce.

What You’ll Do
Build scalable templates and systems. Design reusable, on-brand templates and grab-and-go assets such as thumbnails, emails, program visuals, and event materials that teams across Marketing, Education, Events, and Lifecycle can easily use.
Illustrate product concepts and flows. Create clear, compelling visuals that explain product workflows, systems, and ideas for blog posts, product pages, education, and lifecycle content.
Design digital and physical brand experiences. Create assets across digital campaigns and in-person events, including social, ads, email, signage, stage graphics, swag, and booth visuals.
Partner across teams from concept to execution. Work closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Education, Events, and external vendors to bring ideas from concept through production.
Own production and quality. Manage production workflows end-to-end by coordinating with vendors, reviewing proofs, tracking logistics, and ensuring everything ships on time and meets the bar.
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience in brand, production, or visual design, with work spanning digital, physical, and illustrative outputs.
The ability to clearly illustrate complex ideas - such as product flows, systems, or programs - in a way that feels intuitive and approachable.
A systems- and template-driven mindset, with a love for creating assets other teams can reuse confidently and at scale.
Fluency in Figma and Adobe tools, with comfort preparing assets for web, email, print, and large-format production.
An understanding of production workflows - including print specs, proofs, vendor coordination, and timelines - and ownership of the final mile.
A strong eye for detail and consistency, with deep care for craft, clarity, and finish.
An easy, effective collaboration style across Brand, Product Marketing, Education, Events, and Lifecycle, with clear communication to both internal teams and external vendors.
The ability to stay calm and focused in fast-moving environments, balancing creative exploration with executional rigor.
