What we're looking for:
We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead to drive design, development, and delivery of core components within Zinier’s platform and products. You will guide a team of talented engineers, partner closely with Product and Design, and ensure technical excellence across our solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in requirements discussions with the product team to ensure clarity and feasibility.
- Develop and maintain the backend of the Zinier ecosystem with a focus on high-quality, scalable code.
- Investigate and resolve product issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability.
- Contribute to training initiatives to upskill team members across the company.
- Maintain and update technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering best practices and engineering principles.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high development standards.
- Collaborate in an Agile environment, leveraging JIRA for sprint planning, backlog management, and issue tracking.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design.
- Experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and Microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with Relational Databases (MySQL) and in-memory stores (Redis).
- Working knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch, etc.
- Exposure to DocumentDB/NoSQL databases in a scalable application environment.
- Strong understanding of application security, performance optimization, and API versioning.
- 8+ years of experience in software development with 3+ years in a lead or senior engineer role
- Strong problem solver with an ability to design solutions for complex business challenges.
- Passionate about mentorship, technical design, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working in a matrix organization and influencing across pods.
- Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities evolve and innovation is key.
