We are looking for
Experienced QA lead to work with the development leads, project managers and support leads on various projects. Responsible for leading a skilled, cross functional team following agile principles for software development in enhancing platform and product features for best in class quality, scalability and high performance deliveries.
You will also need to be a hands-on team player and perform tasks such as writing test cases, reviewing testing logs, performing manual tests, etc. You will work very closely with other Technical Managers, DevOps, Tech Leads and business partners to ensure the success of a variety of projects and initiatives. You’ll also be responsible for hiring and developing talent within our organization. Providing ongoing metrics and reporting on quality metrics will be key as well.
Job Responsibilities:
- Define and drive an overall unifying quality vision for the QA department through consensus building and leading change.
- Define, manage and execute a roadmap to maximize test coverage with emphasis on automation and integration with CI/CD initiatives.
- Manage and create proactive testing plans to ensure high availability of the Zinier system in alignment with company initiatives and priorities.
- Work with project stakeholders to deliver timely reports and define release strategies.
- Lead and Support the release team for various major and minor releases engineering is responsible for.
- Monitor and manage testing teams to ensure project deliveries are met with high quality and processes set for testing efforts.
- Implement processes to identify feature and regression gaps and build a culture on the effective RCAs on escaped defects and production feedback.
- Effectively plan, communicate and conduct presentations (project milestones, risk mitigation, road maps, resource needs, technical information, etc.) for senior management and stakeholders, while conveying and driving actionable items to your team.
- Need excellent leadership skills, working with immediate teams as well as cross functional teams spanning the organization
- Implement new tools to help reduce the manual testing efforts and define better tracking on the test plans and regression suites.
- Report deviations of quality per release and define & execute steps to mitigate the deviations.
- Review the core strengths of the QA teams and proactively engage and mentor the team members for career growth, define goals for bringing success to individuals and organization.
- Build automation test suites implemented in Java, Selenium, Appium, Rest-assured automation framework. Drive automation led quality efforts for the releases.
- Define a comprehensive test data strategy that supports various types of testing.
- Manage performance testing benchmarks and periodic reporting against those benchmarks.
Required Skills:
- 9+ yrs of experience in a relevant field.
- Bachelors / masters degree is a must.
- Excellent communication and people skills for building a passionate team is key for this role.
- Strong experience in Agile methodology, processes, and best practices.
- Should have strong understanding of CI / CD processes such Bitbucket, Git and Jenkins
- "Self-starter" attitude and ability to make decisions independently. Can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems and motivate the team to go above and beyond.
- Experience in TDD concepts, methodologies, and best practices. BDD experience is a plus.
- Experience in modern Database platforms, including such items as data modeling, stored procedures, schema definitions, performance and scaling considerations is a plus.
- Should be able to handle multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
- Should have working knowledge / strong understanding of the Web technologies, Web Services, Database, specific knowledge on Security, Performance and Load testing approaches.
- Experience with technical design and hands-on work within a modern OOP-based language (C#, Java, Python, etc.) and related stack is a plus.
