Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Quality engineering roles in SaaS become especially consequential when the product is a configurable platform rather than a single workflow. Zinier operates in field service automation and no code customization, which typically means frequent releases, varied customer configurations, and multiple surfaces to validate across web and mobile. An SDET-1 in this context sits close to the realities of platform reliability, where defects can emerge from interactions between product capabilities and customer built solutions.
For a SaaS career, this kind of testing scope builds durable skills in release readiness, regression strategy, and cross functional collaboration with engineering and product. Exposure to API automation, Agile delivery, and QA metrics translates well across subscription software businesses that rely on predictable deployment cycles and measurable quality signals. The emphasis on structured test plans and defect tracking also supports progression toward automation focused SDET paths or broader quality ownership roles.
This role tends to suit early career engineers who prefer methodical investigation and clear documentation, and who enjoy working across Android, iOS, and web rather than specializing in a single layer. It also fits professionals motivated by customer experience oriented testing and comfortable navigating ambiguity when reproducing failures in configurable environments.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.

Why we exist:
Services shape how we live. Electricity lights up our homes. The Internet opens up our worlds. Cellular phones keep us connected no matter where we are. We take for granted the things we can turn on with the flip of a switch. But when even one of the services we depend on isn’t available, the day can quickly start to go sideways.
For organizations that provide these services, some of the most important work happens in the field — in neighborhoods, across open spaces, and along millions of last miles that criss-cross the country. Every moment of downtime matters, which is why Zinier exists. Zinier empowers organizations to work smarter — from the main office to the field — to solve problems quickly, fix things before they break, and keep people in the rhythm of their days.
To do this, Zinier has created a scalable platform powered by AI-driven insights and intelligent automation that helps field service teams work smarter, better, faster, and more efficiently. We help organizations automate routine tasks so the people in the field can focus on putting their expertise to work. We work with customers in telecom and energy.
We are looking for a SDET-1 to join our rapidly expanding product development team. This role is primarily responsible for testing customer solutions built using Zinier platform and products. The primary focus of this engineer will be to build test plans and troubleshoot failures in existing applications.
