Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Counsel, Policy and Litigation role sits at a point where SaaS products, enterprise deployment, and emerging AI regulation intersect. For SaaS companies building and selling developer and enterprise platforms, questions around liability, IP, antitrust positioning, and product design choices increasingly shape what can be shipped and how it is commercialised. The remit described signals work that tracks external legal change while staying close to real product and go to market decisions.
From a SaaS career perspective, the value is in developing a playbook for handling novel risk in a product-led environment where standards are still forming. Experience translating policy shifts into practical guidance, and negotiating complex commercial arrangements tied to new technology, tends to transfer well across SaaS categories, particularly where enterprise contracts and cross-border considerations are central.
This role is best suited to a counsel who prefers ambiguity over settled doctrine and is comfortable operating as a cross-functional partner rather than a back office reviewer. It will fit someone who enjoys horizon scanning, building internal positions, and advising with a business oriented mindset while still being rigorous on legal exposure.
