Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
In SaaS organisations, the People function often sits at the intersection of operational reliability and leadership decision-making, especially as teams scale and processes mature. An interim Head of People role like this is notable because it centres on continuity, governance, and pragmatic judgement, rather than a transformation mandate. The scope suggests a structured environment with established practices and a People team already in place, where steady stewardship matters.
For a SaaS-focused People leader, this kind of assignment builds repeatable capability in running the annual people cycle, handling senior employee relations escalation, and advising executives with a commercial lens. These are portable skills across subscription businesses where compliance, retention, and manager effectiveness directly influence performance. Leading a multi-disciplinary People team also strengthens operating rhythm and prioritisation, two areas that translate well across SaaS stages.
This role suits someone comfortable stepping into an existing system, quickly building trust with senior stakeholders, and balancing coaching with hands-on delivery. It will appeal to professionals who prefer clear accountability, enjoy resolving complex cases with fairness and rigour, and can maintain momentum without reworking what already functions well.
