Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Software Engineer in Test role sits inside a mature SaaS platform environment, where quality work directly influences customer-facing reliability across frequent releases. In cloud-delivered products like Genesys Cloud, testing is not a final gate but a continuous capability tied to deployment requirements, cross-team dependencies, and the stability of shared components.
For a SaaS career path, the position offers durable leverage in areas that travel well between subscription businesses: automation at scale, CI/CD-aligned validation, and quality advocacy inside agile delivery. The remit touches API and UI coverage, defect investigation across distributed services, and the discipline of keeping regression risk under control as features evolve, all recurring themes in multi-tenant SaaS operations.
This posting is best suited to engineers who prefer owning test strategy as code rather than operating primarily through manual execution. It will fit someone comfortable moving between deep technical troubleshooting and collaborative planning with product and development peers, and who enjoys mentoring on automation practices. The on-site Budapest setup also signals a preference for engineers who value regular in-person coordination in an enterprise SaaS context.
