Role Overview
We are seeking a practical and solutions oriented Senior Employment Counsel to support our growing global workforce in EMEA and APAC. As the first employment counsel outside of the U.S., you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on how we build employment programs globally. The ideal candidate pairs employment law expertise with the ability and willingness to contribute to other matters on our small, but nimble legal team. This role reports to the Head of Corporate Legal.
What You'll Do
Provide day-to-day counseling to the People team and other business partners on a range of EMEA and APAC employment law matters (e.g., hiring, performance management, compensation and benefits, leaves of absence, people data privacy, internal investigations, working time, and employee relations)
Develop, implement, and continuously improve scalable employment policies, handbooks, and training programs that support a growing global workforce.
Partner with People team on internal investigations and manage employment litigation
Draft and review employment-related agreements (e.g., offer letters, separation agreements, and contractor agreements).
Support the global mobility team.
Contribute to other corporate legal matters (e.g., global expansion and strategic transactions).
What You Have
Qualification to practice law in Ireland or England/Wales
5+ years of substantive employment law experience, with at least one year spent in-house at a high-growth technology company.
Proven EMEA employment legal expertise with the ability to flex on APAC jurisdictions
Ability to think creatively, function independently and work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
Team-focused, hyper-responsive and collaborative work style; willingness to build expertise and solve new challenges.
Experience with employee privacy matters and equity compensation programs is a plus.
